These courses are intended for the individual who would like to learn more about self-defence. Effective, pro-active, practical self-defence concepts and techniques are taught and trained that will help you disable an attacker in order to get away. The Self-Defence courses are far less talk and a whole lot more do! That means it’s down and dirty, interactive, participative and great fun.
We don’t take why we have created these courses lightly…. the South African rape statistics are enough to convince anyone that they need to be adequately trained to protect themselves. Our passionate goal is to allow women to feel confident while handling any tricky situation; be it dealing with an over-confident drunk, an attempted rape, or how to react during a robbery.
We will turn a serious topic into practical, fun solutions that could save your life.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
All courses are given by Mario Sequeira who is a 5th dan Karate instructor and who has been giving Self-Defence courses for the last 20 years. The Self-Defence courses are very different from the average karate classes. They focus on a handful of effective techniques aimed at striking vital areas to obtain the maximum reaction and create opportunities for escape. Our main goal is to teach how to avoid a physical confrontation, to de-escalate a volatile situation, and if necessary, to effectively defend yourself
Self-Defence is a state of mind and needs constant repetition to have any chance of being effective!
